On 4 and 5 March Omer Meir Wellber will be conducting new concerts with the Orchestra del Teatro della Fenice. Among others they will perform the world premiere of Italian composer Zeno Baldi’s “Lo sciame all’interno”. Alessandro Marchetti will play Mozart’s piano concerto No 23, KV 488. Omer Meir Wellber will be conducting the Royal Flemish Orchestra in Antwerpen this week on Saturday, 27 February: On the programm will be Haydn’s Symphony No. 44, Strauss’ Serenade op. 7 and Brahms Symphony No. 2. Please find more details here.
On 19 and 20 February Omer Meir Wellber will give his debut with Sveriges Radios Symfoniorkester in Stockholm with works by Beethoven and Tchaikovsky. Pianist Jonathan Biss will be soloist of these concerts and play Beethoven’s piano concerto No. 1. Find here more information.
After his successful debut at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig in April 2015 Omer Meir Wellber is again invited to conduct the Gewandhausorchestra. The concerts will be on 11, 12 and 14 February. Works by Strauss, Mendelssohn and Schubert will be performed, next to Beethovens’s 4th piano concerto with pianist Nelson Freire. Find out more here.
