On Saturday, 24
October, Omer Meir Wellber will conduct the season opening at Bavarian State
Opera in Munich: Arrigo Boito’s Mefistofele, staged by Roland Schwab.
René Pape will sing Mefistofele, Joseph Calleja Faust and Kristine Opolais
Margherita.
It is the first time that this piece is going to be performed at the Bavarian State Opera.
Further performance dates are: 29 October, 1, 6, 10 and 15 November.
